Cellular and Neuronal Circuit Alterations after Traumatic Brian Injury That Contribute to Cognitive Decline and Epilepsy
My laboratory is conducting electrophysiological assessments of neuron and brain circuit alterations that occur after traumatic brain injury. Long-term clinical consequences of brain injury include declines in cognitive function and in many cases the development of epilepsy.
We are trying to understand how circuits in the brain change over time after injury and how these changes might lead to alterations of brain function and behavior.
