MIAMI CHAPTER
The Miami Chapter was established in 1992, and is currently led by Volunteer Regional Director Yasmin Ali.
This was the first volunteer Chapter to grassroots efforts of raising funds and awareness for The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. The Chapter has hosted many events including wine tastings, happy hours, walk & roll a thon, Corks & Forks reception and the Block Party.
Chapters of The Buoniconti Fund were established in 1992 in an effort to enhance the research efforts of the scientists at The Miami Project. Led by volunteer regional director(s), each Chapter is made up of its own volunteer committee members who donate their time and energy into garnering support for their local events. Committee members provide the grass roots efforts in their respective communities by spreading the message of The Miami Project, its ongoing research and its message of hope.
We thank our Volunteer Chapters for their hard work and loyalty! It doesn’t matter how small the gift or activity, the outcome is measured with gratitude and perseverance. GET INVOLVED TODAY, there’s no better time to become involved and make a difference!

The Woody Foundation can’t wait to celebrate the 12th Annual Golf Classic at Top Golf in Doral. The event is to be held Thursday April 20, 2023, which benefits both The Woody Foundation & The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis. As so many donors enjoyed the afternoon at Top Golf, we’ll be heading back for a second time where we’ll have the best food, great drinks & the most fun of any charity tournament in South Florida. Best part about Top Golf, you don’t have to be a pro golfer to join in on the celebration.
Please Save the Date & sign up as a sponsor now so that we can maximize our marketing efforts on behalf of your company. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Lucy or me. We thank you for your continued support of the Woody Golf Classic.
The Woody Foundation is a 501c(3) not for profit organization formed in 2011 to raise funds for the recovery of persons with spinal cord injuries & limited hand use. The namesake of The Foundation – James “Woody” Beckham – suffered his spinal cord injury making a rugby tackle in January 2011. His family & friends have bonded together to support Woody by making donations to The Woody Foundation which helps others with similar injuries. TeamTWF has donated over $1 million to like-minded organizations of which over $260,000 has been given directly to research at The Miami Project.
